National Day of Remembrance
Thanks to your generosity, Justice for Homicide Victim’s 1st Annual National Day of Remembrance CommUNITY 5K was a huge success. We look forward to seeing you at next year’s event on September 22, 2019!
In 2007 the U.S. Congress designated September 25 of each year to be the National Day of Remembrance of Murder Victims.
This designation was the result of the National Office of Parents of Murdered Children lobbying that the death date of their founder’s daughter be so recognized as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims nationwide.
Over the last few years, JHV has held a remembrance event at the beach remembering our lost loved ones.
This year’s event was held on Sunday, September 23, 2018. It was be a 5K run/walk fundraiser at Rosie’s Dog Park in Long Beach, CA.
If you would like to participate in next year’s event please contact Cynthia Bejar, firstname.lastname@example.org.
